Teaching surveying courses online using CNM Blackboard

Over the past several years I have been involved with teaching surveying courses at Central New Mexico Community College. This Spring I am offering three courses online through CNM's "Blackboard".  The course are introduction to Surveying (SUR1001), Math for Surveyors (SUR1002), and Introduction to Land Information Sysytems (GIS1006). This will allow greater access to just about everyone who has an interest in pursuing a career in surveying. As time goes on I hope to  bring additional course work to this venue. Enrollment at CNM will still be necessary and fees will be involved but this may be the answer to the long standing lament that individuals can't travel to NMSU or CNM because of family or job considerations.
